10.5.7 Released

Apple released 10.5.7 Client and Server yesterday. While there isn't anything in the release notes directly related to XSan, there appears to be a slew of items that will benefit sites with Portable Home Directories and Network Home Directories.

As always, wait until the dust settles, and/or install on a test network first. Please share your experiences here.

So, It's been a week. Has anyone bit the bullet? I've got all of my clients on it,
with only a glitch that required changing the resolution, and an issue with PPCs.
However, I've yet to try server, and won't for at least a week, as we have the first
visitation of the season next week. I do want to hear about any installs that have
been done, though.

Well, I moved to 10.5.7 on Monday. It seemed perfectly fine.

Now, a few days later, I used the XSAN app to look at a graph of my fibre
traffic. Astoundingly, it is flat. Zero. If I zoom out to include 7 days, I can
see that it was active up until about the time I rebooted after the 10.5.7
upgrade.

The graph looks the same for all members of my XSAN cluster. Zero traffic.

The graph looks the same when running the XSAN app on any node of the
XSAN cluster and when running it on an unXSANed iMac control console.

The graphs of other quantities (e.g. "Average CPU" and "Network Traffic") are
completely normal.

On the other hand, everything "seems" to be just fine with the XSAN.

Odd.
