ActiveSAN cvfsck

I have an ActiveSAN volume that is not starting, as the volume is inconsistant.

If this were an Xsan volume, I'd just run cvfsck from the metadata controller, but of course we do not have that kind of access on the ActiveSAN MDCs.

Is there any way to run cvfsck and fix my volume?

Do you have a backup? If you do I would just run CVFSCK from a  client. It should work in theory..

We do have a backup, but it only has room fo a little more than half the current used space on the SAN.
I've also reached out to the new active storage for support, and they referred us to another company who is authorized to support ActiveSANs. I guess they don't have that worked out with Quantum yet.

I have tried running cvfsck from a client, I get this:

edit8:~ root# cvfsck -j Edit_SAN

*Error*: Unable to open /Library/Preferences/Xsan/Edit_SAN.cfg: No such file or directory
*Fatal*: Configuration for "Edit_SAN" has errors.

*Critical*: File System Journal Recovery finished - with errors.

Damn, that is too bad. You need to get the SSH key to get into the controller I guess. Hope support can help you. I will ask around and see if there is another trick to get into Active SAN controllers. Don't hold your breath though.
