Hire a smart integrator and work with them to develop an FCSvr deployment that works for your situation. This is not a one-size-fits-all thing.

Do you mean Server or Studio?

FCS= Final Cut Studio
FCSvr=Final Cut Server

I have 3 xserves, 10 mac pros, 2 Promise Vtrak,
