Stinky Grinch wrote:

So after talking to the new active storage support, they say that since 10.8 is a new version of xsan, Active SAN is not yet compatible...

I went ahead and tested that my self. I upgraded one client, After the upgrade it was not mounting the volume, so I copied over the XSAN config files from 10.7 before I upgraded, and the volume mounts on the client. However ActiveSAN Admin says the client is not mounted and the version info is null...

This makes me nervous, still at 1.2b3 as well.

Hi!

If I remember correctly, this is the behaviour I was told to expect by an Active engineer around Christmas last year. It should work, it's just ActiveSAN Admin can't read the version / mounted info. I think you might have to mount / unmount the client from the CLI (on the client) too.

Was it the /Library/Preferences/Xsan directory you manually restored?

Thanks,
Tom
I cant speak to the serial interface. Im not sure there is a serial interface on the back. you can reset via CLI using the admin tools which are avalible on activestorage.com

-d <ip> password --reset
