Mavericks Can't add Client - fails to write config file

wayneflyfisher's picture

Wer'e re-deploying our xsan using Mavericks, and new Mac Pro trash cans as clients. We've successfully added two clients with no issues. However, one refuses to ad. It shows up in admin, sees both the public and private IPs, and even authenticates with no problem. However, when completing the addition, it locks up saying "Failed to write config file" on the client. I've tried everything I can think of. Help!

check your metadata network connection, the config files are written over the private network while the authentication process is done over the public network. (check ping)
