| I need to create 170 managed user accounts. These are student accounts with identically managed applications, dock and system settings. How does one save the preference settings to be able to apply it to all the other accounts without needing to do it manually? |

You put all the student accounts into a group, and manage the group. _________________ Aaron Freimark

| canning. even if you have 1 or 2 users. you should manage permissions and roles through groups, this is how its always been done because people change groups usually dont. |

Or you could lie and tell one of those students that they'll get all A's if they do the hours of laborious entry for you. Just a thought. |

| set up LDAP to manage them. Choose a location for a user directory so you can store the accounts for the machines to access. |
