Another interesting possibility for a Mac mini MDC is a rack mount kit from Sonnet that will allow use of the PCIe Fibre Channel cards (when it ships):

I've seen the mini MDC on the IBC at Promise, pretty sweet setup for a PoorManSan.

Latency (only thing I could test in the brief time I was there) was good enough (around 350ms). I've seen faster, but for an mini pretty cool.

The sonnet RackMac is even nicer: FC card in the PCI slot and the extra NIC is of course very handy.
