All,
I post this here because its directly related to the final cut Server but it might be related to the XSan we have running.
Essentially, I am trying to create a managed qmaster cluster for distributed transcoding from my FCSrvr. I have 6 mac pros connected over Fibre and a large central XSan.
I have activated the Qmaster Node service on all the client machines and set up one of them to act as the controller.
My issue: whenever I open up QAdministrator and create a cluster, at first all the machines appear in the list of available nodes, but when i select them all to drag them to my new cluster, only 2 machines plus the controller move. The remaining ones then disappear from the list.
My question is this: what gives? Any ideas? |

| Are you running Compressor 3.5 or are you on Compressor 4? |

| For anyone who might be interested...I did finally sort out the issue by isolating all Qmaster traffic to the private (SAN) network. |
