Unable to add osx 10.6.8 client to into a new Lion Xsan

Hello,

Could you explain me why I’m unable to add an OSX 10.6.8 client with Xsan 2.2.2 into a new Xsan controlled by two OSX 10.7.3 MDC with Xsan 2.3?
The Apple official documents said that it is possible!

Version compatibility
The following table shows the compatibility of Xsan 2.3 metadata controllers and clients
with earlier Xsan versions and with StorNext controllers and clients. For the latest
information about compatibility with StorNext controllers and clients, see the AppleCare

Controller Xsan 2.3 with Client:
Xsan 2.3 - Compatible Yes
Xsan 2.2.1 with Mac OS X or Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard - Compatible Yes
Xsan 2.2.1 with Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard or Mac OS X Server v10.5 Leopard - Compatible No
Xsan 2.2 or earlier - Compatible No

What I can do? I can’t upgrade my client! Someone can help me?

Thanks! I ran into the same issue with adding a 10.6 client to a 10.8 based SAN. Those darn defaults in Xsan Admin when creating a default. Ouch. They'll get you every time.
