Does anybody know a method of getting at the lights out management without using Apple Remote Desktop or is it only via that program?

I have found that Server Monitor can be a little unhelpful if you have a stuck server, it seems to try a compliant shutdown for too long.

Resort to the CLI

An example below:

ipmitool -H 10.0.1.20 -U admin -P secretpassword chassis power off
