ARD Report Gathering Pegs MDC at Midnight.

We recently discovered that a process HD_Index will cause the MDC's to be at over 200% CPU usage at Midnight and cause several Dropped frames and interupt SAN communicaiton at Midnight.

When you add machine to ARD it has the option to gather reports and index files.

If this option is turned on when you add machine via ARD the machine will go off and do report gathering and Index the Local Disk but also Index the SAN attached to the MDC.

Ensure You disable this option when you add machines to ARD and also pre existing machines in your ARD lists.
