|

Hi folks, rookie question, I know. I can't seem to find out what version of Xsan is installed.
cvversions returns a revision and build that I can't seem to match up to xsan versions.
/Library/Reciepts sometimes has a package with a plist that lists the version, but not all of my clients have that package.
I could try opening software update, but then I'd have to do that for many machines. Not feasable. Also its not 100% reliable on this.
Is there a plist somewhere that lists Xsan v 2.2.1 or 2.2.2? Some other way to get it?
Thanks. |

I usually look in Xsan Admin.
Click on "Computers" in the left sidebar area, and then select one of your controllers or clients. Then click on the inspector button at the top. A window will open and there should be a pane that says "Software Versions". This will list all of the details about the installed Xsan version and build numbers.
I'm sure there is probably some way that doesn't involve using Xsan Admin, but this seems to be the easiest route. |

Thats true, I could do it that way. I really wish there was a better way to get it via CLI. (to automate it so it creates a report).
Thanks for the brain re-start anyway. |
