Hi all, I am new to this forum and hope someone know answer. I was install Xsan 3.0 and Mountain Lion server. I have 2 MDC, Qlogic 5800V switch, Rorke Galaxy Aurora LS storage, all with ATTO 8G HBAs. I was made 2 LUNs on RAID and XSan shows just one at the time. Strange thing is that cvadmin shows both of them and cvlabel also shows both of them. I tried to create multiple LUNs but always shows just one. Then I was try to re-label LUNs with cvlabel and again I can see LUNs with cvadmin but GUI shows just one again.

Your LUN labels need to differ within the first 8 characters, otherwise some parts of XSan will see them as different LUNs, others will not. Soon, you'll find yourself in trouble.

If your names are different and shorter than 8 characters, it might be that somehow your Raid is presenting the 2 LUNs with the same t10_dev_id. I don't know how you would change that with your particular setup (it would need some changes in the raid, nothing that you can do about it on the xsan side).

hope this helps
