So I'm running a fairly simple SAN setup, but I'm looking to add a reshare to the mix.
I'm running the share off a 10.5 client, not server yet, and it works just fine...
Except I'm having all kinds of weird permission issues.
Basically if someone creates a folder over the reshare, the fiber kids can't put files into that folder.
What do I do to make this work?
Thanks in advance

In your "simple SAN setup", is a common directory in place?
Are the Re-share users logging in as Open Directory users?
All users should have Open Directory logins, and belong to a common "workgroup".
Is the machine serving the share bound to Open Directory? |

That's what I feared...
Not doing anything involving open directory currently, and fairly confused by the idea.
I guess I need to read up more on that kid and set the all up under the same "workgroup"...?
Sorry for the dumb questions... I'm a video editor that has some geek in me, so I'm not a server expert, but I'm willing to learn. |

neat, I'll give this kid a try later this week.
Thanks a bunch for your help nrausch.
If anything I'm afraid of the new Safari 4, just downloaded and now my tabs are goofy... Not sure how I feel about that, but that's a bit of a side note.
Thanks again.
