We have update xsan to 1.4 and everything was working fine.
When we tried to grow our volume we get a failure and our volume wouldn't start, when we examen our volume we lost two storage pools.
It seemed that the cfg. file was corrupt.

We have put the original cfg. file back and the volume was running again.

Now we are examen the files on the volume and it seems that many files are corrupted. The file size is correct but there are no previews. When we try to open a file we get the following message " couldn't open file. It may be corrupt or a file format that preview doesn't recognize. "

Is there anybody who knows what i can do about this, or can i forget these files at all.

thanks.

Harry

Have you tried to check the volume with "sudo cvfsck -v"? There is a possibility (although a small one) that the command will fix the file system damage.
