Great, all the years I've spent correcting people (No no, it's not called an Xraid, it's an Apple Xserve RAID) is now moot.

Sure, the specs are great, but did you see the "iPhone" monitoring capabilities? Now that's "thinking different"!

Got a chance to finally see this raid at MacWorld and this thing is slick. The monitoring and config app is very impressive. With 1TB drives it packs up to 16TB (which is the same capacity as the new Promise VTrak). The iPhone app is beautiful. Great design is evident in these products. I can't wait to build an Xsan with one or more of these.

I was also able to check the xraid out at Macworld and was very impressed by what I saw. The xraid admin app is really slick. Didn't get a chance to see the iphone app in action, but if it is anything like the full admin app, it's a nice option to be able to use. Their website does have a demo video up for the iphone app. Looks pretty great.
