We have a new Xsan with 6 clients editing FCP projects. The question has come up what is the best way to organize the files on the Xsan to avoid the chaos that could happen when you set multiple editors free on 24 TB of space. One thought is to have different folders for each editor -- or to have folders for each project -- or many other variations. Does anyone have a best practices for this?
How are you organizing for files? What is working for you? I would love to know.

Go with whatever solution is the easiest to enforce as this will be the biggest battle! We have a folder per project and this works for us. Once the project is finished the whole thing can be deleted without fear of deleting media from other projects.
