Does anyone know if the new Final Cut Server 1.5 supports Image Sequences in DPX, or Cineon format? OpenEXR, TIF and JPG are noted on the tech specs page, but not DPX or Cineon. Film transfers are usually done in these formats, and I would like to import them in. Maybe with Glue Tools installed on the Final Cut Server?
Also, does the new version support RED cam files, i.e. R3D and it's own QT proxy files?
All I could find on the Apple site was Red and DPX support mentioned for Final Cut Pro / Cinema Tools. |

| I think its safe to assume that if it's not mentioned, it's not supported. |

| Well, I intend to test that capability when I get my copy of 1.5. Since a lot of the image sequences we work with (including all the material transferred from film) are in those formats, then I am really hoping it could work with something like GlueTools thrown in the mix. R3D support would be nice too. |

| What was the outcome with R3D support? QT Redcode plugin installed? |

Pretty sure if you log n transfer at native and create a single wrapped RED that works. You can just drop the .r3d in though
DPX wise. Well.. I tried just latest compressor and submitting a dpx img seq there and you have no control over colorspace. going to any codec in uncompressed the color is way off. It's not just a gamma issue.
Shame.. Apple seem not to have tested one of the industry standard formats for img seq in production

RED stuff works like you said, either an untouchable .r3d, or a single wrapped red (flattened in FCS).
As for image sequences, bringing in EXR and TIF and TGA works well. Haven't tested DPX or CIN yet. Render sequences vs plates / elements library sequences. |

| DPX and CIN import. FCSvr does not generate the h264 clip proxy for DPX, but cin was all good. Maybe with Glue Tools installed on the FCSvr it might work. Haven't tested. |
