FCSvr not able to create folders within device on upload?

When uploading assets you can choose from existing folders within a device to specify where an asset goes, but the create new folder button is always greyed out on the system I'm at currently.

Any ideas? Permissions issue? I can create folders over AFP in finder, just not on upload...

That button has never worked. Best bet is to create the folder through other means first.
